Race Unity Award speeches to be live-streamed 11-17 May
This year’s Race Unity Speech Awards have been able to go ahead under lockdown by moving online.
You can support this initiative by watching the National Semi-finals and National Final live on YouTube between 11 and 17 May 2020, and encouraging others to join you.
The National Final will happen on Sunday 17 May – 10am to 1:30pm. It will bring together the top six young speakers from across Aotearoa to speak their minds on how to improve race relations. We’re excited to announce that well-known television journalist and presenter, Miriama Kamo, will be the MC for this event.

The Race Unity Speech Awards are a forum for senior high school students to share their views on race relations in Aotearoa, coordinated by the Bahá'í community’s Office of Public Affairs.
