Membership of Regional Councils announced
Nine North Island and five South Island believers have been appointed to the two Regional Councils for a one-year term commencing on the Day of the Covenant, 26 November 2018. Heartfelt appreciation expressed for the dedicated services of outgoing members of the Councils.
Membership of new institution established at the World Centre announced
The first five-member Board of the newly established Bahá’í International Development Organisation has been announced. They will function as a consultative body to promote and coordinate the efforts of the worldwide community in social and economic development and will take up their new role on the Day of the Covenant, 26 November 2018.

The bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb
The Universal House of Justice writes “The tremendous stimulus given to the work of the Five Year Plan by the celebration of the bicentenary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh is apparent in all parts of the world. Acknowledgement of translation work for Ētahi Karakia Bahá’í
A gathering was held to thank Dr Tom Roa, his “team” and whanau for the work that has gone into the translation of prayers of the Central Figures of the Faith, compiled into New Zealand’s first substantive Bahá’í prayer book in te reo Māori, Ētahi Karakia Bahá’í.
