Date of online conference confirmed

The National Spiritual Assembly is happy to confirm that an online conference (part of the series of World Conferences) is being planned for those who were unable to attend a local conference. It will be on Saturday 2 July, from 1 pm to 5 pm, and more details will be shared in due course.

As the National Assembly wrote in a letter to all Local Spiritual Assemblies on 25 February 2022:

The overarching goal of the conferences is to paint the vision of a beautiful, harmonious community and build a strong sense of connection, weaving the arts through the conferences to create an atmosphere reflective of the society-building power inherent in the Revelation of Bahá’u’lláh. The Local Assemblies will make an enormous contribution towards achieving this outcome.

The details of the programme are still being prepared but it will incorporate some or all of the themes:

  • Bahá’u’lláh’s vision for humanity;

  • How far we have come;

  • Building vibrant communities;

  • Educational endeavours;

  • Contributing to social transformation.

For more about these themes, see conferences.bahai.org.nz/themes

The conferences are intended to be joyful, celebratory, and spiritually charged gatherings, so are designed as an experience to suit many people, incorporating arts and creativity.

In its 25 February letter, the National Assembly had foreshadowed this online conference for people whose circumstances prevented attending an in-person conference. No doubt it will be blessed by the same unified and dynamic spirit as all our conferences have been in Aotearoa.
