A playlist to sweeten the precious hours of the Fast

Well is it with you, as you have followed the Law of God and arisen to observe the Fast during these blessed days, for this physical fast is a symbol of the spiritual fast. This Fast leadeth to the cleansing of the soul from all selfish desires, the acquisition of spiritual attributes, attraction to the breezes of the All-Merciful, and enkindlement with the fire of divine love.

One Local Spiritual Assembly in Aotearoa has prepared a “Playlist for the Fast”, and because it seems to be a rich resource, it is being shared here. The document is headed “Uplifting movies and songs for playing during the Fast” and its introduction states:

During the Fast we are trying to detach ourselves from the world more and focus on our spiritual growth and development. We may have more time available because we are not spending so much time eating or preparing food. So – here’s a great opportunity to watch some of the many wonderful Baha’i films that have been produced in recent years.
