Santitham School in Yasothon Province in northeastern Thailand is actively seeking youth who are native English speakers interested in offering a period of service to teach English and participate in other activities of the school.
Santitham School is a Baha’i-inspired school operating under the Santitham Education and Development Foundation. The foundation board is appointed by the National Assembly. The school provides education to approximately 320 students from Kindergarten to grade six and places emphasis on spiritual and moral education. The school offers the junior youth spiritual empowerment programme to older students and is also looking to expand in this area. One of Santitham's big attractions to the Thai population is the fact that it offers English instruction, which is in high demand as English is spoken by very few people in the country. The quality of the English instruction, as well as the prestige of the school, is greatly enhanced by the efforts of international youth volunteers who come to the school as part of a year-of-service. Volunteers offering between three months and a year of service are most welcome.
