Make this a ‘Golden Summer’ by spreading hope
The Regional Bahá’í Council for the North Island writes:
It’s gonna be a Golden Summer!
When you think of summer, what comes to mind? Maybe golden things like sunshine, warm days, beaches, barbecues, baches. Well, you can have all that plus the best summer you’ve ever had, by learning alongside others and serving the Faith, no matter what your circumstances. So sign up for the “Golden Summer” in the North Island!
It’s a time where we can tangibly respond to the recent call of the beloved Universal House of Justice (25 November 2020) to each of us:
May you succeed in giving hope to those who know not where to find it in a world disoriented and adrift, sorely lacking the unity which you, through your heart-pledged devotion to the Covenant, so conspicuously manifest.
The Golden Summer starts with a special orientation from 4 to 10 January in Auckland. It’s a period of learning and applying that learning through experience in the field each day. A great way to learn from our most advanced cluster! It will ignite our capacities to return home or be deployed in goal clusters (details of these are below) to accelerate the growth process.
After that, nine days of expansion takes place to meet and consolidate our community connections to give them hope. Then eleven days of locally-organised Institute (Ruhi) campaigns, children’s festivals and junior youth camps — key elements to accelerate growth — taking us to the end of a glorious January. What a great way to spend our holidays!
February follows with starting core activities with those community connections, and further local Ruhi campaigns, festivals and camps to build on our earlier successes. See the detailed calendar below for the details.
In that same message from last month, the Universal House of Justice urged us:
… every community must draw on whatever untapped potential it may possess and seek to overcome any obstacles that are impeding its growth, thereby preparing it for the demands to come. For it is within the context of a flourishing community, especially a centre of intense activity in a village or neighbourhood, and when each element of the Plan’s framework is given the attention it requires, those elements most visibly cohere and connect, multiplying the community’s powers in the field of action.
Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to multiply our powers in the field of action — click here to register now! And have a truly Golden Summer!
