Engage in significant service this summer

Engage in significant service this summer

A “Golden Summer” campaign is planned for January and February 2021, with a twofold purpose — to expand the number of tutors in the region and to help various clusters advance. This is an initiative from the Regional Bahá’í Council for the North Island, in collaboration with Auxiliary Board members and the Regional Institute Board.

Individuals and teams will work joyfully together to meet new friends, initiate Ruhi training camps and junior youth camps and support the addition of new core activities in neighbourhoods across the North Island. Please register at https://forms.gle/gJ8UE4ZGKPK7kiVY8

Who can participate? Anyone 15 and over, mature and keen to make a positive contribution this summer.

What will you do? The initiative starts with orientation (studying Ruhi Book 6, gaining experience, and preparing). Then you will join a team working in either your own cluster or another cluster — meeting new people, hosting Ruhi and junior youth camps and supporting the startup of new core activities.

When and where? Orientation is 4–10 January at the Bahá’í Centre in Manurewa, Auckland. Mahi in clusters until 31 January for secondary students (until 22 Februay for everyone else).

How much will it cost? The cost for all participants is covered by the regional institutions.

Below are calendars for the Golden Summer activities. Attached to this article (at page top) is a PDF file with a fuller calendar of the Golden Summer campaign along with institute campaigns in November-December 2020.
