Video gives an update on Centre for Learning project

At the recent National Convention, delegates watched a video presentation (below) about the Centre for Learning which is being built at the Hyde Dunn Property in Henderson. The presentation features two members of the project management team who describe the work being done and the facilities the building will provide when completed.

The following further information about this national project is adapted from the National Spiritual Assembly’s Annual Report for 178 B.E.

In Henderson, Auckland, facilities are being built for a residential centre for learning able to accommodate 92 people overnight.

In this first stage of the Hyde Dunn property development plan, the existing main building, formerly the National Hazíratu’l-Quds, is being turned into a residential training facility. The facility will provide a venue for institute trainings, junior youth camps, ISGP seminars, summer schools and conventions. The total cost of the project is projected to be $5.2 million.

Work is well advanced now and is expected to be completed around July — later than originally anticipated, primarily due to shortages and supply chain issues with building materials.

Note that in addition to the major works described in the video, the entire roof has needed replacing.
