The latest Bahá'í World article focuses on the theme of social justice.

The twentieth century and early decades of this century have seen the emergence of a rich landscape of social movements aimed at overcoming injustice, prompted by a growing consciousness of the oneness of humankind.

In “The Pursuit of Social Justice,” Michael Karlberg examines this evolving landscape and correlates Bahá’í approaches with those employed by prevalent movements in their work for social justice.

Drawing out distinctive elements of a Bahá’í approach to social transformation, the article highlights fundamental spiritual principles as well as insights from Bahá’í experience in translating those principles into action.

“Based on more than a century and a half of experience,” writes Prof. Karlberg, “the Bahá’í community has much to contribute to the evolving global conversation on the pursuit of social justice.”
