Riches of learning and joy await at upcoming summer schools

The host Assemblies of Whangārei, Auckland, Hamilton, Hastings and Christchurch have been diligently and thoughtfully preparing for this year’s summer schools so that Baháʼís and their friends from around the country—children, youth, adults, and families—can together experience a haven of learning, fellowship, and joy.

This year’s theme, “True Practitioners of Peace,” invites us to reflect deeply on Bahá’u’lláh’s vision for humanity and to explore the qualities of spiritually uplifted, vibrant, united, outward-oriented and welcoming communities. The National Spiritual Assembly is providing video presentations and workshop materials to help the friends explore these profound topics:

Day One | Constructing a peaceful society

Day Two | Humanity’s coming of age

Day Three | Building a refuge for mankind

Day Four | Becoming true practitioners of peace

The presentations, workshops, devotions, arts, recreational activities, and children’s activities, utilising the diverse talents and enthusiasm of the friends, are sure to be a wonderful opportunity to participate in interactive and thoughtful sessions, to share in the joy of music, arts, and creative expression, and strengthen bonds of friendship and fellowship. Most of all, it is anticipated that these summer schools become a spring-board for actions - large or small - that contribute to the healing of the world.
