A message for the season of Ayyám-i-Há and the Fast

A message for the season of Ayyám-i-Há and the Fast

As the Bahá’í world moves through the sacred period of the Fast following the joyful days of Ayyám-i-Há, the National Spiritual Assembly shared a message with the friends in Aotearoa and the Cook Islands for the Feast of ‘Ala’.

The letter invites us to deepen our prayers while we remember the faithful followers of the Faith in Iran who continue to face persecution simply for their beliefs and for the love and service they offer their fellow citizens, and asks us to reflect on the responsibility Bahá’ís share in contributing to the building of a more just, unified and peaceful world.

For further reflection during this period of the Fast, the following 13-minute talk by Mr Ali Nakhjavani* explores the themes of integration and disintegration, simultaneous processes at work in the world today, as part of the Greater (Major) Plan of God.

*Mr Nakhjavani served as a member of the Universal House of Justice from its inception in 1963 until his retirement 40 years later.
