The bicentenary of the Birth of the Báb
The Universal House of Justice writes “The tremendous stimulus given to the work of the Five Year Plan by the celebration of the bicentenary of the Birth of Bahá’u’lláh is apparent in all parts of the world. Thoughts are naturally turning to the two hundredth anniversary of the Birth of the Báb and what must be accomplished before this second bicentenary …”.
Acknowledgement of translation work for Ētahi Karakia Bahá’í
A gathering was held to thank Dr Tom Roa, his “team” and whanau for the work that has gone into the translation of prayers of the Central Figures of the Faith, compiled into New Zealand’s first substantive Bahá’í prayer book in te reo Māori, Ētahi Karakia Bahá’í.

Intensive Ruhi training in Canterbury
At the Ngāti Moki Marae, in the Selwyn District of Canterbury, 12 youth participated in an intensive training wananga during the July school holidays.
Somerfield junior youth service project: baking for the homeless
A junior youth group in Somerfield, Christchurch consulted and decided they wanted to bake for the homeless. After some research, they decided to bake cookies for a local volunteer organisation who regularly provide free hot lunches to approximately 150 people who are homeless or poor.
Race Unity Speech Awards shield presentation
The top award for the 2018 Race Unity Speech Awards was presented to Hena Dugh, a year 13 student at Hastings Girls’ High School. It was a wonderful and uplifting occasion.
ISGP Seminars: Register Now for December 2018
