Compilation on standing strong in a disordered world

A new compilation being circulated by the Institution of the Counsellors is an illuminating resource for understanding the current state of the world and bolstering our confident response as Bahá’ís. The compilation consists of two sections, respectively entitled “The World’s Current State of Disorder and Confusion” and “Disposition of the Bahá’ís”. This gift from the International Teaching Centre is a most timely source of encouragement and upliftment, and we warmly commend it to you for your meditation and study.

As quoted in the compilation, the Universal House of Justice has written: “Events of the most profound significance are taking place in the world. The river of human history is flowing at a bewildering speed.” At a time of doubt and tumult, this compilation brings to our attention such galvanising statements as this one by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá:

O army of God! When calamity striketh, be ye patient and composed. However afflictive your sufferings may be, stay ye undisturbed, and with perfect confidence in the abounding grace of God, brave ye the tempest of tribulations and fiery ordeals.

Absorbing such words into our souls is a sure way to build up resilience and fortitude in the face of today’s profound uncertainties. Everyone, individually and in groups, is encouraged to draw inspiration and insight from reflecting on the contents of the compilation.
