Plans for next summer schools take shape
Mrs Alison Milston has kindly accepted to serve as keynote speaker for the next summer schools, and the National Spiritual Assembly is grateful for the experience and insight that she will bring to the programme.
The North Island school will run from 26-31 December 2020. The South Island school will run from 3-8 January 2021. In the event that pandemic restrictions prevent or limit physical events, it is the National Assembly’s hope that as much of the programme as possible will move online.
Mrs Alison Milston served as a member of the International Teaching Centre from 2013-2018, and previously as a member of the Continental Board of Counsellors for the Americas from 2008-2013, both at the appointment of the Universal House of Justice.
Prior to this, Mrs Milston was elected to the Regional Bahá’í Council for the 12 Central States in the United States, acting as its secretary, and served previously as a regional institute coordinator for seven midwestern states. She has also served on local Spiritual Assemblies and as an assistant to Auxiliary Board members for Protection.
Mrs Milston has a degree in Marriage and Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota, her home state, and worked in higher education administration for Capella University, an online graduate institution, and at a contemporary music college in St Paul, Minnesota before transferring her residence to the Holy Land in 2013. Mrs. Milston and her family have recently resettled in Whangarei, New Zealand after living in Apia, Samoa.
