University Graduate Seminar Announcement – 2024
The Institute for Studies in Global Prosperity (ISGP) has announced the dates of the next offering of its seminar for university graduates and young professionals, entitled Discourse and Social Transformation: Achieving Coherence, for individuals from New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific. The graduate seminar is scheduled to be held from 27 December 2024 to 7 January 2025 at the Yerrinbool Bahá’í Centre of Learning in Australia. This seminar aims to assist young adults to develop the capacity to examine and analyse society and the forces acting upon it and to introduce relevant aspects of the Bahá’í Teachings both in their academic and professional fields and in other social spaces in which they are present.
APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 15 SEPTEMBER 2024
In its Riḍván 2024 message, the Universal House of Justice describes how the swiftly deteriorating state of the world demands a response from every conscientious soul. Participation in the seminars offered by ISGP is a unique opportunity for young professionals and graduate students to further raise their capacity to contribute to the long-term, constructive processes unfolding through the divine Plan, particularly through their efforts to participate in the discourses of society. In another message, the House of Justice highlights how these seminars are helping young believers become better acquainted with a Bahá’í perspective on the pressing issues relevant to the progress of humanity.
More than sixty young professionals from Aotearoa have attended the graduate seminar over the years it has been offered. Individuals are encouraged to seize the chance whenever it is available to them, and consider how they can arrange their affairs in order to participate. Many past participants have also benefitted greatly from making plans to attend the seminar with other friends from Aotearoa. Participating as a group of friends has allowed them to overcome practical obstacles, prepare together, reflect on the seminar content in light of a shared reality or field of work, and support one another to continue the conversations and apply insights gained at the seminar once they returned home.
Applications are due by 15 September 2024. For further information about the seminar, please download the announcement and application form by clicking the buttons at the top of this page.
