2025 Unit Conventions: Table of Unit information
Each year, Bahá’ís participate in unit conventions to elect delegates who carry the sacred responsibility of choosing the nine individuals to serve on the National Spiritual Assembly. This process, guided by prayer and spiritual reflection serves as a key foundational aspect of Bahá’í administration.
The unit conventions for 181 B.E. will take place across Aotearoa on Sunday, 9 February 2025.

All adult Bahá’ís in good standing, aged 18 or older, are encouraged to participate in this vital process. Those aged 21 and above are eligible to be elected as delegates. For those who are elected, it is both a privilege and a duty to engage in consultation on matters of national significance with the National Spiritual Assembly at the National Convention, 25-27 April 2025.
Participation in the election of your delegate/s, whether in person or by sending your ballot, is a sacred privilege. Consultation at the unit convention itself is also an opportunity for valuable collective reflections where recommendations to the institutions, including the National Spiritual Assembly, can be made. These functions provide every eligible believer the opportunity to contribute to the strength and progress of the Bahá’í community. By engaging prayerfully in this process and voting with sincerity, each participant plays a role in advancing Bahá’u’lláh’s vision for a better world.
