2025–2026 Bahá’í Summer Schools

2025–2026 Bahá’í Summer Schools

The National Spiritual Assembly is pleased to announce details of the upcoming Bahá’í Summer Schools to be held in the North Island between late December 2025 and late January 2026. An announcement about venue and timing of summer schools in the South Island will be made as soon as possible, but the theme will be the same throughout Aotearoa.

Theme

“Homes as havens: pillars to sustain humanity; Ngā kāinga hei āhuru mōwai: ngā pou hei oranga tāngata”

Inspired by the 19 March 2025 message of the Universal House of Justice, this theme invites reflection on the role of family life in sustaining civilisation and strengthening communities, and host Assemblies have been asked to organise and facilitate sessions and activities that draw on this theme in ways that will uplift and inspire the friends in their efforts in the field of service to the Cause.

This year, responsibility for devising programmes has been delegated to host Local Spiritual Assemblies. In the South Island the Bahá’í Council will provide most of the programme content. The following initial details have been provided by the North Island host Local Spiritual Assemblies. While the friends are of course welcome to attend other summer schools, joining their local gathering offers important opportunities to reflect and consult together about the progress of the Faith in their area.
