Explore the Covenant: Ruhi book 8 now available
The Bahá’í Distribution Service is delighted to announce that Ruhi Book 8: The Covenant of Bahá’u’lláh is now available in published form, with all three units in one book, and you can purchase your copy for $15 through the Bahá’í Bookshop New Zealand.
Book 8 occupies an important place in the sequence of courses developed by the Ruhi Institute, inviting participants to deepen their understanding of the Covenant of Bahá’u’lláh and its significance to the life of the Bahá’í community.
Central to the book is the importance of a “centre” for the preservation of unity, and the unique provisions Bahá’u’lláh made through His Covenant to safeguard that unity. Across its three units, participants explore this theme and its implications, including the development and features of the Administrative Order through which the affairs of the Bahá’í community are governed.

The newly released publication brings together the three units that have previously been available in pre-publication form. Importantly, however, this is not a cohesion of those earlier materials, but rather a finalised published edition, incorporating themes from the pre-publication units while presenting updated content in its completed form. For this reason, friends who have previously studied all three units of Book 8 are also encouraged to study the newly published edition and benefit from its updated content and presentation.
The National Spiritual Assembly warmly encourages the friends to take up the study of this newly published edition of Book 8. Friends may wish to gather a few others and form a study circle, revisit the book with those with whom they previously studied the pre-publication units, or consider studying it together as a family, group of friends, or alongside others serving within their community. This publication offers another valuable opportunity to deepen one’s understanding of the Covenant and reflect together on this fundamental feature of Bahá’u’lláh’s Revelation.
