All backgrounds welcome.
About the Opportunity:
The Office of Public Affairs works with like-minded organisations and thinkers to contribute to social progress, drawing on the collective experience of the New Zealand Bahá'í community, and represents the Faith in its relations with government, the media, and civil society.
The Office is seeking 2–3 interns who will help advance this work, focusing on one or more of the following areas of interest: Social Media, Public Discourse, and Civil Society & Government Relations.
Who This Is For:
You do not need a specific degree or professional background. If you: care about learning how to uplift public conversation and serve the common good, write clearly (or want to get better at it), can be reliable, organised, and discreet with information, and are curious and teachable, please reach out. Experience with Canva, basic video editing, or data/desk research is a bonus but not required.
You will work closely with the two Coordinators of the Office: Ms Maria Reynen Clayton and Dr Kat Eghdamian.
Flexible, part-time involvement through mutual agreement.
How to Express Interest:
Please email publicaffairs@bahai.org.nz with:
— a short note (1–2 paragraphs) about why you’re interested and what you hope to learn,
— any relevant skills or experiences, and
— your general availability
The Office warmly encourages expressions of interest from people of diverse backgrounds and stages of life. If you feel drawn to this kind of service but aren’t sure you “qualify,” please write to us.
