Bahá’í Sacred Writings back in stock at the Bahá’í Bookshop
Following the enthusiastic response to the release of Bahá’í Sacred Writings earlier this year, a new shipment of 500 copies has now arrived in New Zealand and is available to order through the Bahá’í Distribution Service.
The initial supply of the volume sold out within a matter of weeks, and the arrival of this substantial new shipment means the book is once again readily available to individuals, families and communities throughout Aotearoa.
Printed under the oversight of the National Spiritual Assembly to make the volume as affordable as possible, Bahá’í Sacred Writings is available for just NZ$15 per copy. Beautifully presented in a compact dark blue faux-leather flexibound format with a gold ribbon bookmark, the volume brings together a comprehensive collection of the Bahá’í teachings.
The collection has been designed to increase access to the Sacred Writings and to support and reinforce the process of growth unfolding in neighbourhoods, clusters and villages around the world. It may be particularly valuable for those whose first encounter with the Creative Word has been through participation in courses of the training institute.
Among the passages included are many excerpts familiar from institute materials, often presented within the original sources from which they were drawn. The volume also contains a number of newly translated excerpts published in English for the first time.
The National Spiritual Assembly hopes that this sacred volume will find a place in every Bahá’í home and become a constant companion in the spiritual life of the friends. It can serve as an invaluable resource for personal study and prayer, devotional gatherings, institute courses, Feast and Holy Day preparations, teaching efforts and other aspects of community-building work.
